Coaching Philosophy

I am an Olympic Marathon Trials Competitor, Twin-Cities Marathon Runner Up, Des Linden's Pacer for the 50k World Record and 2:16 Marathoner. I believe in very methodical and individualized training plan tailored to help my athletes reach their running goals and full potential. I am currently a professional runner living and training in Boulder, Colorado, and former Minnesota Gopher Cross Country and Track & Field standout with All-Big Ten and All-Region Accolades. I hope to create a truly personal coaching experience, where my athletes will learn about my experience and backgrounds. They will receive a tailored, individual training plan written, have unlimited text and email contact, plus weekly phone/video calls. My coaching philosophy combines the training methodologies of my former coaches, current coaches and mentors in the sport of running. In the past nine years I have been under the tutelage and guidance of the best distance running coaches in the country and world. Those coaches include, Steve Plasencia, a two time Olympian, whom I ran for at the University of Minnesota. Cory Leslie, current professional coach for Under Armour's Baltimore based group and former Arizona State Head Coach as well as a former steeplechaser for Nike. And lastly Dathan Ritzenhein, one of Americas great distance runner of all time, current head coach for the On Athletics Club and my former teammate with the Hansons-Brooks Original Distance Project. Coaching is one of my biggest passions and helping my people achieve their goals and dreams in one of the most fulfilling thing in the world for me. I will use all of my running knowledge, resources, former coaches and friends to build a plan that will help you achieve your running goals and dream. Lets get to work!
