2.0 mi. ∙ 10:55
2 mile on canal-10:55 (5:17, 5:38)
After: 3 miles (7:03, 6:32, 6:06)
I completely gave up after I saw 5:16 for the first mile since it was so far from my goal of sub 10. No way to run a race. Had a lot left in the tank. No one to blame but myself. Did not feel like a race. Really dissappointed in myself, but I’m hungry for redemption and I’m happy I ran it because I learned a lot from it. Not every race is going to be a huge pr, but just because the first mile is slower than you wanted is no reason to give up. I think I could have run a lot faster if I just dug deeper instead of giving up, and I’m excited for next time. Sub 10 is coming.
