800 at conference with ferren. Meet was moving a little faster than we expected it too so we had a hurried warmup but stayed calm cool and collected. Race got out pretty hard first 100 but settled in came through in 59-60 so it was a kickers race. Kyle doorhy shouted uptempo to me after the first lap and that helped a lot to help me wake up and start making my move on the back stretch to get closer to that front pack. 200 left I switched gears again and 100 left I moved into my final gear and kicked down a DGN kid to get 5th and 1:59.93. Super happy with how the race went and an enormous confidence boost going into sectionals. 1:57 is the next goal
