5x800 thresholds, 4x200 at 30. Tough workout just because it was very hot out this morning but a good effort.

Last indoor meet at open conference. Obviously it was tough not racing last night, but I’m pretty happy with how today went and how I kept a positive mindset. I could tell from the 4x4 last week that I’m starting to turn my season around and that held true today. Time to lock in for outdoors and keep dropping times to where they should be.

York invite. The mile was just terrible. I had a good conversation with coach Kup about some things I might be able to fix about what’s going wrong this season. Had some stomach problems as well. I think I had a stomach bug this weekend. I know I’m better than that. Really glad I ran the 4x4 though and ran 55 which I’ll take and won it. I felt like a whole different runner, I was so much more aware, relaxed, and had better form than before. I’ll remember this feeling and try to replicate that success.

Good 300s workout today. Hit my times for the first set but things went downhill during the second set. Very lactic.

I have realized that I have had a culmination of bad races this year and I also haven’t been logging. Maybe that’s a start to turning my season around. I got out hard today which was my goal, but after just a lap someone had already closed on me. I know I’m capable of much better than I put out there today, I just need to regain that mental toughness from cross country to will myself to do it. Falling asleep on the 3rd lap isn’t going to cut it. I am very fortunate to have these chances, but I keep wasting them with horrible races. I’ve done it in practice so it’s about time I start putting up better times in races. This funk I’m in on the track ends today. Super happy for Dom and the 4x8 and 4x4 for putting up outstanding performances!
