End of an era. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing. Tonight wasn’t what I wanted, but it was a great night and I’m thankful for everyone who stayed and watched and sorry I let you down. This isn’t a somber ending, what will be remembered is all the great moments we had. I love you boys, make me proud. I know you will. As for me, I guess I’ll be lurking in the shadows for another year…

State Weekend. Last ever race as a red devil. I am serious when I say I do not remember life before joining the team. I just turned 14 when I had my first summer running practices over Covid. I don’t remember thoughts from before that, I was a different human. Like I said at UTL, I have given everything to this team and it has given me infinite times as much back. Forever thankful to everyone. State was interesting this year. Most of us were sick, including me. And despite this state being my 7th state meet, I was just as nervous as the first. But it went well, the 800 honestly felt pretty easy at the end. I know it’s hard to say that but it really did. On the 4x4 tho I was ready to give everything. Brayden, Jack, and Smith went a full second faster than we did at sectionals and I brought it home for 2nd. It’s the way I wanted to end things. Most importantly throughout these 4 years I had the opportunity to carry on a legacy. The HCXC legacy. Passed down to me by Piyush and my brother. My final wish to the younger guys is that you take the torch and carry it, for old times sake.

Wow last day of school today + graduation. I am glad that I got to graduate with Max Kerm and Mark, I figure that’s the most fitting way to end it. I have Devin in my 8th period, it was cool walking out with him since we have been together since K. Reflected a bit on the highschool life, I wondered if I regretted not really being apart of my class, but I couldn’t because the team was my home. No regrets. 8x4 thresh at 74, felt good. We aren’t done yet

That was a really tough one today. Broken 8s with 12 minute rest. 1:29, 29. Then 1:32, 29. I wish I spiked up for this but all good. Don’t know why these felt tough. Obviously it was humid but pain was all lactic. 4 200s after at Golfview

It’s funny cause if you told me 10 years ago that Jack and I would be handing off the baton to each other to break a school record and go to state, I would have said “I know”. But here we are now and the feeling is unreal. Sectionals yesterday, 4x8 8 4x4. 4x8 felt really rough so I was kinda upset but I saw I went 1:54 and I realized that was fine since I thought I ran a difficult 1:57. 8 felt good, just got the q to move on. And 4x4 definitely an unreal race. I still don’t fully believe the 46.5, or the 3:19, but everyone delivered and that’s what happens. I want to shoutout Kerm, we have given you a lot of shit but you still fought everyday and it led you to a great place. Also we will still be giving you shit

25 min warmup, 8x400 threshold at around 73-74. Felt great on these. Nice day as well. Sectionals postponed but that means we can go to UTL

Sadly UTL postponed, I will still be there on Wednesday though, 8x200 with 60 second rest. 27 for all except 28 on rep 4. Haven’t been logging my sleep as I said I was. But I have been consistent in getting good sleep.

Conference at York. Wow what a meet what an atmosphere. Felt like the whole distance team came to support, plus the alumni. Shoutout Frosh Soph, I’m excited for that squad it’s such a complete team. On my race, from the gun I knew what the race was gonna be like for the first 800 meters. First lap was comfortable in 60.9, then that last lap we really slowed down which had its advantages and disadvantages. I really was able to feel good and take it with 700 to go and go 4:06. Couldn’t have done this without the boys cheering me on. At the same time, this is just the start. I’m extremely proud of all the boys who ended their season today, I’m excited for what’s to come.
