EIU showdown. Really fun first meet of the season and i definetly competed well in this race. Everything from start to finish went really well and the kick at the end was amazing.

400 repeat workouts. Splits were (80, 83, 81, 78) (77, 77, 85, 80) (81, 80, 77, 78). Average was 79.75 which was kinda what I was hoping for. Both our hammer reps were 77’s which could’ve been a bit faster. Stayed with the group the whole time and no one really dropped off or sped up by themselves so that’s a good thing. The last two were really the only ones where i was gassed after and I just felt smooth on everything else. Great workout though and it was fun at night

50 mins easy. First 30 with james and aidan felt terrible to be honest but last 20 with ac went good. The lightning and storm was a nice touch and fun to watch.

Workout at night with james. Did our 25 mins at training run effort which ended up being around 7:20 and we ran through downtown plainfield. Workout went great. We started our reps around 6:20-6:30 and then always dropped it down to low 6s for the last 2 mins. easy pace was 8:00 to get a good recovery. first three reps went just like that and last rep went even better. around halfway i picked it up and ended off with about a 5:50-5:40 pace for the last 2 mins. our cooldown was a nice slow 10 mins and we ended off with 60 for the day

Training run, felt fast and smooth which was nice and there really weren’t any problems at all until literally the last step where the outside of my knee just hurt for a while. Didn’t do strides but yoga felt good.

Training run today. Did not feel prepared for this run at all but it surprisingly went great. Thought I wouldn’t be able to keep up but was able to stick with everyone the whole time. Self talk was very positive which was good and it just felt fast and smooth the whole time.

Easy run this morning. It was harder then i wanted it to be which kinda sucked but im glad i got out. Helped that I was with people too.

Aerobic check. To be honest I was super unsure of myself going into this. After not running for a week and being a bit sick I thought it would go terrible. It went actually pretty good though. First lap was a bit slower just so I could have that strong progression and went 8:20 which was a 6:43 pace. In a group with Dom L, Nathan, Ben and Troy. After coming through that first lap me and dom sped up and it felt pretty smooth. I wasn’t really struggling yet and it felt good. Went through the second lap in 7:53 which was a 6:28 pace. Last lap was definetly harder. Still stuck with Dom L and it felt like I was going faster but every time I would look down at the watch it would say 6:30. Pushed through though and finished in 7:52 so just barely negative splitting the whole workout. Felt like if I did another lap it just would not go well so cut it at three but i’m happy with that. Plan on doing a cooldown when I get back but for now it’s good to get back into everything.

Recovery run today. Wanted to get this in since we leave for a camp so probably won’t get any running in there. This run kinda sucked. It was a challenge to go sub 8 pace so maybe this week off will be good

Long run at Waterfall glenn today. For some reason I can never get the run right when we go here. Didn’t do to well today but I feel like I needed a run like this. Started off with everyone and we were going around 7-6:50 pace at the start and my legs were already hurting. At about 5 miles me Jake Cal and Dylan dropped back and just focused on keeping it a consistent 7:10-7 pace. That still felt really hard and with about 20 mins to go I just hit a wall. The rest of the run just didn’t go well for me at all and the pace was too slow. Tried picking it up with 5 mins left but that was still hard so I just got to 80 for the day. Don’t really know what I could’ve done to make this run go better. Got to 10.75 which I’ll take but next time I definetly want to do better.
