First run back from sickness. 5x800 at threshold. Legs felt a bit stiff but fitness felt the same.

Okay meet at bud mohns. Ran the open 800 and 4x400. Ran 2:00.3 and split 54. The 800 was rough since I didn’t position myself well and was boxed in towards the back for most of the race. I struggled to find an opening until the last 100m and had to sprint to make up for my positioning. Effort wise I left too much in the tank and I know I am definitely fit enough to run faster. While I’m upset with the race I was still able to run an open pr by a bit and I know that the times will go down in the meets that matter. The 400 was okay. It was very windy and chilly out so I did my best in those conditions.

Warmup, 5x800 threshold, 4x200s. Pace for thresholds were 2:43. Pace for 200s was around 28 avg.

3 sets of broken 5s with Mark. Splits were 43, 28, 43, 29, 44, 30. Heat was pretty bad otherwise I felt solid on the workout. Feel ready to run well this saturday.

Great meet at St Charles. Led off the 4x800 in 1:58.9 for a pr and then came back later in the 4x400 and ran another pr of 53.5. I am really glad to see the times start to go down and I feel a lot of confidence going into future meets. For the 800 I felt pretty relaxed through the first 400, going through in 58.6. I had a big gap to make up to catch up to first place but I started to move up and was neck and neck at 700. Got out kicked though and locked up a bit but still happy to pr. I think as the season progresses I’ll be fit enough to close better. I already feel improved from Wednesday. The 400 was good. I felt pretty relaxed through out and secured a good pr. Gonna focus on sleep and recovery this week to prepare for bud mohns. Happy to win the meet on JV and varsity as well.

Solid meet. Ran 2:01.4 in the 800, 59 in the open 400, and 55 in the 4x4. Considering the wind and lack of race prep I felt like this was a solid start to outdoor. Tried to take the lead on the 800 but locked up the last 100 unfortunately.
